Hey guys. The Alpha UXT Pearl is Alpha Bidet’s first smart toilet. It takes the wash system from the UX Pearl luxury seat I’ve lived with for a long time and builds it into a fully skirted, 1.28 gpf one-piece toilet with an automatic lid, auto flush and a foot sensor.
It sells for about $1,699 at Bidet King. That makes it one of the only integrated bidet toilets under $2,000. TOTO Neorest and Kohler’s Numi, Veil and Eir lines run roughly $3,000 to $11,000.
If you’re replacing your toilet anyway, the UXT Pearl is the best-value integrated bidet toilet I know of: you get the same proven UX Pearl wash for thousands less than a Neorest or Kohler. If your current toilet is fine, the seat alone is the smarter buy.
Bidet King owns and operates Alpha Bidet, and that’s where I’d buy it. Going direct gets you the full warranty and support straight from the company that makes it. You can check current prices here (affiliate link).

Price
At about $1,699, the UXT Pearl lands right where most people stop shopping for a smart toilet. That’s roughly $1,240 more than the UX Pearl seat on its own. For that money you get the toilet itself, automatic flushing, the foot sensor and the bowl sanitizer.
Compare that with a TOTO Neorest RS at around $4,700 or a Kohler Veil around $6,000, and the math gets pretty friendly. Prices move around, so treat these as ballpark figures.
Warranty and Power Requirements
Alpha covers the UXT Pearl with a 3-year warranty for residential use and 1 year for commercial installs. The UX Pearl seat warranty excludes improper installation and sediment damage, and I’d assume the same terms here. That’s one more reason to use the included filtered angle valve.
On power, Alpha rates the unit at 1170W on a standard 110-120V circuit, with a 7-foot cord. You need a grounded outlet within that reach. A GFCI outlet is the right call in a bathroom.
What Is the UXT Pearl, and Who Is It For?
The UXT Pearl is a complete toilet with a UX Pearl bidet built in, so it’s aimed at people doing a remodel or a toilet replacement. Anyone with a good toilet already in place gets nearly the same wash for far less with the seat.
A Complete Toilet vs. a Replacement Seat
A bidet toilet seat bolts onto the toilet you already own. The UXT Pearl replaces the whole fixture: bowl, trap, flush system and bidet in one skirted piece of vitreous china.
That integration buys you things a seat can’t do on its own. You get automatic flushing, a foot sensor, a motorized seat and lid, and a rear compartment that hides the hose and power cord. There’s no tank either, so the profile stays low and clean.
The combo makes the most sense for:
- Bathroom remodels and new builds
- People who want the tidy, no-visible-hoses look
- Homes with odd-shaped toilets that won’t fit a seat properly
- Anyone who wants a hands-free bathroom visit
When the UX Pearl Seat Makes More Sense
If your toilet is in good shape and elongated, I’d buy the Alpha Bidet UX Pearl seat. It runs around $460 and shares the same wash unit, nozzle, heater and dryer family. I covered it in depth in my Alpha UX Pearl review.
You skip auto flush and the foot sensor, but the cleaning experience is the same. For renters, that’s an easy decision too, since you can take a seat with you when you move.
How Well Does It Wash?
The UXT Pearl washes as well as any bidet I’ve used, because it runs the same system as my UX Pearl seat. The spray is broad, aerated and strong at the top setting, with a comfortable rear wash that cleans thoroughly without stinging.
What My UX Pearl Seat Experience Can Tell Us
I haven’t measured the UXT Pearl itself. These numbers come from the UX Pearl seat that shares the same wash system:
- Flow: about 0.6 L/min
- Default spray session: 2 minutes 30 seconds
- Pressure levels on the seat: 5
One note: the UXT spec sheet lists 3 water volume levels plus the air-pump boost, so the pressure steps are labeled differently on the toilet. The top end is the same story. Alpha calls it above average, and on my seat, the highest setting got the job done every time.
The stream is wide. It covers a broader area than a pin-point jet, so it’s gentler on sensitive skin while still doing its job.
Easy Wash and Auto Wash & Dry Shortcuts
Two shortcut buttons on the remote make this toilet guest-friendly. EASY WASH fires a full-pressure rear wash with oscillation, no adjusting needed.
AUTO WASH & DRY runs a full rear wash, stops, then runs a full drying cycle and stops again, all from one press. You can store your own pressure, position and temperature into it for a true one-button routine. My in-laws would never touch the other buttons, and that’s fine.
Does the Warm Water Last?
Yes. The tankless heater gives endless warm water, so the spray never runs cold partway through a long wash or when the next person sits down.
Tankless Heating and Temperature Settings
The UXT Pearl heats water on demand with a 1400W heater, according to the spec sheet. There’s no reservoir to drain. Water warms as it passes through, and you pick from 5 temperature levels.
If you want the background on why tankless matters, I explain it in how warm water bidets work. Tank-style seats hold a small reservoir that runs out after about a minute of spraying.
Long Washes and Back-to-Back Users
On my UX Pearl seat, the water stayed in the 90s Fahrenheit after several minutes of continuous spraying. Same heater design, so I’d expect the same from the UXT.
That’s the big win for families. With a tank seat, the second person in line after a long wash gets a chilly surprise. With on-demand heat, there’s no recovery wait. Go figure, the cheaper-looking tech is the better tech here.
Design, Dimensions and Sitting Height
This is a full toilet replacement, and it looks the part: a fully skirted vitreous china base topped by a slim, glossy upper half. The dimensions follow the most common North American standards, so it drops into most bathrooms.

Fully Skirted Bowl and Concealed Connections
The skirted sides mean no trapway curves to scrub around. A rear compartment hides the water supply hose and electrical cord, which is the detail I like most for a clean finished bathroom.
Up top, the glossy finish wipes clean easily. The motorized arms are polished stainless steel, and the rest of the upper half is antimicrobial polypropylene. A halo LED rings the side control knob, a nice touch at night.
Rough-In, Outlet and Chair-Height Dimensions
Here’s what to check before you order:
- Rough-in: 12 inches (measure wall to flange bolts)
- Outlet: 4-inch outside diameter, standard flange
- Drain: S-trap
- Seat height: 17.4 inches, ADA compliant
- Packaged weight: 111 lbs
Most U.S. homes have a 12-inch rough-in. If yours is 10 or 14 inches, this isn’t your toilet.
What Does Installation Involve?
Installation is a normal toilet swap plus an outlet and a dedicated angle valve, so a confident DIYer can handle it. You need power and decent water pressure within reach, and an extra set of hands for the heavy lifting.
Electrical, Water Supply and Pressure Requirements
According to the manual, you should not reuse your old toilet’s supply line. The UXT Pearl ships with a 1/2-inch angle valve that has an internal filter, plus its own supply hose. Alpha recommends professional installation of that valve, and it says the included hose helps flushing performance.
Check these before you start:
- A grounded GFCI outlet within about 7 feet
- Dynamic water pressure of at least 0.18 MPa (about 26 psi) with 22 L/min flow
- Static pressure no higher than 0.8 MPa (about 116 psi)
Tankless toilets lean on line pressure, so low-pressure homes are worth testing first. My guide to installing a bidet covers the outlet and supply basics.
Why I Would Plan on Two People
At 111 lbs boxed, this is a two-person job. Setting a heavy one-piece onto a wax ring alone is how flanges get cracked and seals get smeared.
If you’ve replaced a toilet before, a plumber is optional. If not, or if you need a new outlet, budget for help. I break down typical numbers in what a bidet installation will cost you.
Flushing and Hands-Free Operation
The flush is strong and water-efficient, and you can trigger it without touching anything. Between automatic flushing, the foot sensor and a motorized lid, a full visit can be completely hands-free.
What the 1.28 GPF Flush and 1,000 MaP Rating Mean
The UXT Pearl uses 1.28 gallons per flush and is WaterSense certified. Its siphonic jet flush runs in two stages: the first clears the bulk, the second finishes and reseals the drain.
MaP stands for Maximum Performance, an independent test of how many grams of solid waste a toilet clears in one flush. Alpha rates the UXT at 1,000 grams, the top of the scale. That number rules out the weak flushes cheap low-flow toilets are known for.
A bowl pre-rinse also wets the bowl when you sit, so waste is less likely to stick.
Automatic Lid, Seat and Foot Sensor
A proximity sensor can open the lid as you walk up and close it when you leave. You can switch that off and use buttons instead.
The foot sensor near the base works in sequence:
- Tap once to raise the lid
- Tap twice to raise the seat
- Tap a third time to flush
Four Flush Methods and Power-Outage Backup
You can flush four ways: automatically when you stand and leave, from the remote, with the foot sensor, or with the side knob.
If the power goes out, a 9V battery backup still lets you flush. Keep a spare 9V in the vanity. Auto flush does occasionally surprise people, and I explain the usual culprits in why a toilet flushes by itself.
Spray Settings and Nozzle Control
Every spray setting you’d expect from a premium seat is here, plus a couple of extras. You can dial in position, pressure and motion for both washes.
Rear and Front Wash
The rear wash handles everyday cleaning. The front feminine wash sprays from a different section of the same nozzle.
That arced nozzle shape gives the front wash better reach than straight nozzles. On my UX Pearl seat, the front wash landed where it should without me shifting around.
Oscillation and Nozzle Position
Oscillation moves the nozzle back and forth to cover a wider area. On my seat’s remote, pressing a wash button twice turns it on, and holding it triggers a pulse massage. The labels don’t make that obvious, so read the remote guide once.
You get 5 nozzle positions. Taller and shorter family members will want different spots, which is where presets come in.
Pressure Levels, Air-Pump Boost and User ID
The spec sheet lists 3 water volume levels. An integrated air pump mixes air into the stream, giving a softer feel with a boost in perceived pressure.
User ID pairs the remote to the toilet so a neighboring unit’s remote won’t trigger yours. That’s handy in homes with two Alpha units.
Remote, Side Knob and User Presets
The controls are easy enough for guests, with programmable user presets for the regulars. A slim remote does most of the work, and the side knob backs it up.

Wireless Remote and One-Touch Controls
The remote is slim with clear buttons, text labels and the two shortcut keys. It sticks to a magnetic wall mount, so it won’t wander off or end up in the bowl.
My one gripe from the UX Pearl seat carries over: some buttons double up on functions, like oscillation and pulse. Ten minutes with the manual sorts it out.
Two Saved Profiles and the Halo-Lit Side Knob
Two user presets store spray pressure, nozzle position and water temperature. Each person hits their button and gets their exact wash. Households with more than two adults will need to share.
The backlit side knob with its halo light handles the basics if the remote battery dies. You can also flush from it.
Energy Use and Running Costs
The UXT Pearl should cost very little to run, because its biggest power draw only switches on while water is spraying. Alpha doesn’t publish a monthly kWh figure for it.
On-Demand Heating and Power-Saving Modes
According to the spec sheet:
- Rated power: 1170W
- Water heater: 1400W, on demand only
- Dryer: 250W
- Heated seat: 50W
The 1400W heater sounds big, but it only runs during a wash. A tank seat keeps a reservoir warm around the clock. There’s also a power saving mode, and the seat temperature dials down after 10 minutes of no use.
What My UX Pearl Seat Energy Reading Does and Does Not Show
On my UX Pearl seat, I measured roughly 2 kWh per person per month. At typical U.S. rates, that’s well under a dollar per person.
That reading covers the shared wash, seat and dryer hardware. It doesn’t include the UXT’s motorized lid, sensors, nightlight or sanitizer. I’d expect those to add a little standby draw, but I haven’t measured it, so I won’t guess a number.
How Useful Is the DirectDry Dryer?
The DirectDry warm air dryer is a clear upgrade over the dryer on my UX Pearl seat. Like every bidet dryer, though, it still takes a few minutes or a quick pat with paper.
Extending Nozzle, Airflow and Adjustments
DirectDry uses a drying nozzle that extends out and aims warm air upward at you. Most bidet dryers just blow from a fixed vent. Alpha lists:
- 3 fan speeds
- 6 temperature levels
- An oscillating option
- Over 0.2 cubic meters per minute of airflow
My biggest complaint about the UX Pearl seat was that I could adjust dryer temperature but not airflow. The UXT fixes that.
Realistic Expectations for Drying Time
Bidet dryers in general take a couple of minutes to get you mostly dry. Plan on a square of toilet paper to dab off.
Even with a strong fan, a wide wash spray leaves you wetter than a narrow jet does. That’s the trade for a gentler clean.
Nozzle Hygiene, Bowl Care and Night Lighting
The UXT Pearl covers hygiene from several angles with no refills to buy. That includes the nozzle, the bowl, the air and the lighting.
Arced Nozzle and Automatic Bowl Pre-Rinse
The stainless steel arc nozzle self-cleans before and after use. Its curve keeps it out of the direct line of falling waste and cuts splash-back. If splash is a worry, see do bidets splash water everywhere.
The automatic bowl pre-rinse wets the bowl when you sit. A wet surface keeps waste from sticking, so you scrub less. Self-cleaning has limits, and I cover them in do bidets clean themselves.
Deodorizer and Pure Breeze Sanitizer
The photocatalyst deodorizer neutralizes odors through a light-driven reaction. There are no carbon cartridges to replace.
The Pure Breeze bowl sanitizer uses an air plasma generator to circulate ion particles through the bowl between uses. Alpha says it controls odor and bacteria. I treat this bowl sanitizer as a nice bonus; the wash quality is why I’d buy this toilet.
LED Nightlight and Ambient Sensor
A soft white in-bowl LED nightlight guides you at 3 a.m. without blinding you. You can set it to always on, or let the ambient light sensor turn it on only when the room is dark.
That auto mode is the setting I’d use. It keeps the light from wasting power all day.
Seat Comfort and Accessibility
The seat is warm, roomy and set at a height that’s easier on knees. That makes the UXT a strong pick for older adults and anyone with mobility concerns.
Heated Seat and Burn Protection
The heated seat has 6 temperature levels and draws 50W. Burn protection is built in, and the seat lowers its temperature after 10 minutes, which helps if someone sits a long time.
On my UX Pearl seat, the shell felt a little thin at first. After a few weeks I stopped noticing. Alpha describes the UXT seat as built for durability, with stainless steel motorized arms.
Elongated Seating Area and 17.4-Inch Height
The elongated seat has a flat, wide seating area. Bigger users get more room than on a narrow contoured seat.
At 17.4 inches, it meets ADA chair-height guidelines. Standard toilets sit around 15 inches. Those 2-plus inches make sitting down and standing up easier for older parents, tall folks and anyone recovering from knee surgery.
How Does It Compare with Other Bidet Toilets?
The UXT Pearl wins on price by thousands of dollars and matches premium brands on core wash features. You give up brand cachet and some refinements going this route.

UXT Pearl vs. the UX Pearl Seat
The wash features are the same. The UXT costs about $1,240 more, and that buys the toilet, auto flush, the foot sensor, the motorized lid, Pure Breeze and the upgraded DirectDry dryer.
If you’d buy a new toilet anyway, the UXT closes that gap fast. If you’re curious about Alpha’s lower seat tier, my Alpha JX review covers the budget option.
TOTO Neorest and Kohler Alternatives
The TOTO Neorest RS runs around $4,700, the Neorest AS about $6,800, and the Kohler Veil around $6,000. You pay for brand reputation, polished design and dealer networks.
For a seat-only comparison, a TOTO Washlet like the TOTO C5 or the TOTO C200 Washlet competes with the UX Pearl seat. I’d still pick the UX Pearl seat on wash quality per dollar.
Throne Lite, Throne and Other Bidet-Seat Context
Bidet King also sells its own Throne Lite (about $1,399) and Throne (about $1,799). These are the closest-priced integrated alternatives.
The Throne Lite saves $300. The UXT Pearl gets you Alpha’s proven wash system, the arced nozzle and DirectDry. Between the two, I’d spend the extra on the UXT.
Buy the UXT Pearl When You Are Replacing the Toilet
There you have it. The UXT Pearl is the best-value integrated bidet toilet I can point to right now, at about $1,699.
It pairs the UX Pearl wash I trust with a 1,000 MaP flush, a hands-free lid and foot sensor, endless warm water and a 17.4-inch chair height. Premium rivals charge $4,700 and up for the same core experience.
My advice is simple:
- Replacing your toilet anyway, remodeling or building new? Get the UXT Pearl from Bidet King.
- Happy with your current elongated toilet? Get the UX Pearl seat and keep the $1,240.
Before ordering, confirm a 12-inch rough-in, a GFCI outlet within 7 feet, and at least 26 psi of dynamic water pressure.
