Today’s article looks at the best bidets for kids.
Children can use bidets, both electric and non-electric. The amount of supervision needed depends on the age of the child, the type of bidet, and the presence of a child wash feature. Non-electric bidets can be used at any age with little risk to the child (though a mess might be made).
The best bidets for kids are equipped with a child mode. Wash modes for children limit water pressure, water temperature, seat surface temperature, extend the nozzle further in, and activate a preset wash and dry cycle with the push of a single button. Another option is non-electric bidets.
Right now, Bio Bidet is pretty much the only brand that offers wash modes for kids, so several recommendations in this article will be models made by BB.

The Best Electric Bidets for Kids
Bio Bidet Slim ONE
First up, is the Bio Bidet Slim ONE (Amazon link). It’s an entry-level electric bidet and one of the least expensive on the market. It’s unfortunately only available for elongated toilets.
Despite being one of the cheapest options on the market (price-wise), it somehow manages to offer a few features not typically present with entry-level bidets.
Child-Friendly Features of the Slim ONE
An intuitive, easy-to-use side panel with enlarged control buttons.
A smart seat sensor, so the bidet doesn’t go wild if a child (or anyone) hits a button by mistake. When the sensor isn’t activated via skin contact (no one is occupying the bidet), all bidet functions cease to operate.
When selected, the child mode:
- Adjusts the water pressure to low.
- Adjusts the water temperature seat surface temp to low.
- Extends the nozzle further in to make up for shorter height.
- Provides a pre-set one-minute wash cycle with 30 seconds of oscillating and 30 seconds of pulsating water flow.
The nozzle oscillating function is useful for less skillful bidet users because it reduces the need for skillful body positioning to get water where it needs to go.
The lower seat temperature prevents low-temperature burns, a hazard for children, as well as older adults and those with physical limitations.
Other Features and Specs of the Slim ONE
Water Temperature
- There’s no warm air dryer, unfortunately, which is one reason the is much cheaper compared to other options.
- The Slim ONE has a tank-type heater, so it only provides about a minute of warm water before running out.
- The water heater does have what they call “Fusion” technology, which is supposed to keep the water at just above room temperature once the warm water runs out.
- Water temperature that can be adjusted to “Off” and three settings that range from 37° F to 104°F.
Water Pressure:
- Adjustable pressure w/5 settings
- The five pressure levels and four wash modes combine to provide a nozzle output that ranges from 0.13 to 0.21 gal (or ~0.5 – 0.8 L) per minute.
- Max pressure is achieved with the turbo mode.
- A sitz bath function is available for a longer cleaning session with extra-low pressure.
Comfort, Convenience, and Aesthetics:
- No wireless remote, but the side panel is sleek (not bulky or tacky).
- No auto functions or user presets for adults.
- Kind of bulky with a rear height of 6.8” (~17.3 cm).
- Plain white with minimal decals, colors, labels, etc.
Seat and Lid:
- Heated seat with four temperature levels (including Off). Again, the chance of low-temp burns is minimized/eliminated with the child mode.
- Slam-free, gentle-close seat and lid with a quick-release button for easy bidet removal (for cleaning, etc.).
Cleaning Wand and Spray Capability:
- A single, stainless-steel 3-in-1 nozzle for regular (posterior) and front (feminine) hygiene.
- The nozzle is adjustable to 5 different positions for aiming accuracy.
- The third nozzle hole is for a Turbo mode meant for relieving constipation.
- There’s also an extra-soft sitz bath mode for soothing irritated skin (e.g., hemorrhoids).
- Oscillating spray mode for wider coverage and a better clean.
- A Pulse button for a smooth, massage-like experience.
Safety and Sanitation:
- On-demand self-cleaning nozzle(s).
- Blue LED night light allows you to see the toilet in the dark without turning on the bathroom lights.
The Bio Bidet Slim TWO
If you like the Slim ONE, but would really prefer a remote control, then check out the BB Slim TWO (Amazon link). It is available for elongated and round toilets.
The Slim ONE and TWO are basically the same but the SLIM TWO has a wireless remote instead of a side panel. I tend to only recommend the Slim TWO if you can catch it at a good price.
IME, it’s usually anywhere from $50 to $100 more than the Slim ONE, and at the higher end, you can do a lot better for the price.
After all, it still has all of the shortcomings of the Slim ONE aside from having a remote. I.e., it still lacks a warm air dryer and has a tank-type heater.
The Alpha JX
I wanted to include another option that’s also available in round. If you have a round toilet, but don’t like the limited selection of Bio Bidets available for round toilets, you might want to consider the Alpha JX bidet (affiliate link).
Of course, the Alpha JX is also a great option for elongated toilets.
The JX is their luxury, top-of-the-line option, but It’s much less expensive than other luxury bidets and, in a lot of ways, surpasses the BB A8 mentioned further down in the article.
For example, it’s the only bidet listed with a tankless water heater for truly unlimited warm water. It also has an antimicrobial wand, which is a rare feature.
Child-Friendly Features of the Alpha JX
It doesn’t have a child mode, but it has two one-touch Easy Wash modes that come in handy for kids.
The two auto functions have buttons labeled, “One Touch Easy Wash” and “One Touch Wash & Dry”
Of the user-friendly Easy Wash buttons,
“An easy-to-use remote with exclusive one-touch wash cycles make the Alpha JX ideal for the elderly, children, and disabled.”
–Alpha Bidet
It’s an ideal feature for kids because a single button can be pressed to get a generic wash or a wash + dry cycle without having to choose water pressure, temperature, etc.
It also has automatic, self-cleaning nozzles meaning kids don’t have to be reminded to use the function.
Other Features and Specs of the Alpha JX
Water Temperature:
- Instantaneous water heater for unlimited warm water flow.
- Adjustable water temperature with settings that include, “Off”, and from Low (93° F) to High (104° F).
Water Pressure:
- Adjustable water pressure with a nozzle output that reaches 0.185gal (or 0.7 L) per minute.
- A turbo/strong mode labeled “rear+”
Comfort, Convenience, and Aesthetics:
- Warm air dryer.
- Sleek, handheld wireless remote with LCD display screen.
- Low-profile and comfortable seat contour with a rear height of just 5.8” (~14.7 cm). This is important, especially if you have a round toilet.
- Aesthetic design typical of alpha bidets.
Seat and Lid:
- Heated seat w/an adjustable temp.
- Gentle-close seat/lid for less wear and tear.
- Quick-release button for convenient bidet removal.
- Sittable lid with high weight capacity. I.e., the user can sit on the toilet when it’s closed, something usually limited to porcelain and wooden toilet seats. This means you can use the toilet for resting and clipping toenails.
Wand and Spray Capability:
- Single, positionable, aluminum wand for posterior and feminine cleansing.
- Oscillating nozzle for better coverage and cleansing.
Safety and Sanitation:
- As mentioned, the nozzle is automatic, self-rinsing
- For greater sanitation, the wand is treated with antimicrobial additives.
- White LED nightlight for safe navigation in the dark.
Bio Bidet USPA 6800U
Next up, is the BB USPA 6800U (also on Amazon). The 6800U is an upgraded version of the 6800 and yet still costs a bit less. It’s available for round toilets but seems to cost a bit more in round form.
Original 6800s are still on the market and tend to be a bit more, despite offering fewer features.
Child-Friendly Features of the 6800U
Kids Wash Feature:
Pressing the kids wash button changes all of the functions to be suitable for children:
- Water pressure is set to low.
- The nozzle position is extended to level 5.
- Preset one-minute cleansing cycle followed by 3 minutes of drying with the warm air blower.
Other Useful Features for Kids:
- Safety sensor to prevent accidental bidet operation when the seat isn’t occupied.
- Two user presets, meaning you can save preferred settings for things like water temperature, pressure, and wash/dry cycle duration. Once programmed, the user only needs to hit a single button for a customized wash. This comes in useful in case the child prefers settings other than what’s included in the child mode.
- Finally, there’s a generic auto function for one-push operation of the bidet. This function can be useful in case the user presets are already occupied. It includes a 20-second cleansing wash followed by 40 seconds (combined) of the oscillating and oscillating massage function.
- Automatic, self-cleaning nozzle(s). Unlike on-demand self-cleaning nozzles, the nozzles will stay cleaner for longer periods because kids (and adults) won’t have to remember to use the function each time.
Other Features and Specs of the 6800U
Warm Water:
- An enhanced tank-type heater with adjustable temperature. The water never runs cold.
- Four temperature settings ranging from “Off” (cold tap) to the highest of 104° F.
Water Pressure:
- Adjustable pressure w/5 settings maxing out at 0.24 gal (or ~ 0.9 L) per minute.
- There’s a strong wash setting meant for use as an enema mode to relieve constipation.
Comfort, Convenience, and Safety:
- Dual-speed warm air dry with temperature adjustable to 5 levels.
- A double-sided wireless, handheld remote with an LCD display. The remote has a scratch-free surface and comes with mounting brackets.
- User presets and an auto function, as mentioned. With the child mode, user presets, and auto function, operating the bidet is made easy for kids and adults.
- Aerated wash with “bubble infusion” technology for max comfort (and water efficiency).
- Powerful air deodorizer that eliminates up to 99% of bad odors.
Aesthetics:
- The new design is a bit sleeker and more streamlined than the original 6800, but it still has a few decals and branded colors (light blue at the rear of the lid).
- It’s non-bulky with a rear height of only 5.7” (14.5 cm). The size along with the sleek remote make the 6800U a great looking bidet overall.
Seat and Lid:
- A heated seat that can be adjusted to 4 levels.
- Gentle/slow-closing seat and lid.
- Quick-release mechanism for easy bidet removal and cleaning.
Cleaning Wand and Spray Capability:
- Instead of a 3-in-1 nozzle, the BB 6800U has dual nozzles, the second being for frontal cleansing. The nozzles are plastic, but high-quality.
- The wand used for soft feminine cleansing has 7 nozzle holes for a soft, gentle wash.
- Both nozzles are adjustable to 5 different positions.
- Standard oscillating mode for back-and-forth motion.
- Massage function for rhythmical nozzle oscillation.
- Pulsing, strong enema mode. It uses short bursts of water and stronger flow to naturally stimulate bowel movements.
Safety and Sanitation:
- Automatic, self-cleaning nozzles.
- Night light for safe bathroom navigation in the dark.
- Safety seat sensor.
Bio Bidet Ultimate 770
Up next, is the Bio Bidet U770 seat (Amazon link). This one is only available for elongated toilets.
The U770 is considered to be a step up from the 6800U so it’s more expensive. But it’ll depend on your preferences as to whether you think it’s truly any better or worth the extra money.
Kid-Friendly Features of the U770
Kids Wash Feature:
When selected, the Child Function:
- Adjusts the water pressure to a lower setting appropriate for kids.
- Lowers the water and seat surface temperature.
- Extends the nozzle position
- Automatically employs a 1-min bidet cleansing session: 30 sec oscillation + 30 sec pulsation.
Other Useful Features for Kids:
Like the 6800U, the U770 comes with 2 user presets.
To save a kid’s preferences, you can pre-program:
- Nozzle positions for kids of different heights.
- Adequate water pressure and temperature.
- Temperature settings for the warm air dryer and heated seat.
Of course, the user presets can be used by parents as well.
The U770 has a safety function that when toggled on, prevents the bidet from operating when the safety seat sensor isn’t activated—I.e., someone has to be sitting on the seat for the bidet to run any of its functions.
Other Features and Specs of the U770
Water Temperature:
- Enhanced reservoir heater for water that never runs cold.
- While truly warm water is limited (to ~1min of flow), the U770 has Fusion heating technology like the Slim ONE and TWO which claims to eliminate cold water by keeping all cleansing water to at least room temperature. (I.e., when the heated tank runs out, you get lukewarm water).
- Four temperature settings per wash mode including “Off” and 3 levels that range from 94° F to the highest of 103° F.
Water Pressure:
- Adjustable water pressure w/5 settings
- Extra-strong (turbo) and extra-soft (sitz bath) modes.
- Water pressure ranges from 0.13 to 0.21 gal (or ~ 0.5 -0.8 L) per minute.
Comfort and Convenience:
- Warm air dryer with adjustable temperature.
- Convenient, easy-to-use wireless remote.
- The bidet is on the bulker side at 7” high in the back. This could in theory make for a more cramped sitting experience and lack of upfront room, but the U770 is limited to elongated toilets so that shouldn’t be a problem.
Aesthetics:
- No side panel.
- As mentioned, it’s on the larger side at 7” (~17.8 cm) high. But IMO it more than makes up for the bulky rear end with its low-profile, minimalistic design. It’s solid white like a plain toilet seat and has very few decals, colors, labels, etc.
Seat and Lid:
- Heated seat with 4 levels.
- Slam-free, gentle-closing seat/lid.
- Quick-release mechanism for easy removal/cleaning.
Cleaning Wand and Spray Capability:
- Like the Slim ONE/TWO, the BB U770 has a single 3-in-1 stainless steel nozzle for regular (posterior) and feminine (front) hygiene. It’s also adjustable to 5 positions.
- Strong turbo mode for constipation (or an extra-strong wash) and a soft sitz bath mode for soothing irritated skin.
- Oscillating spray pattern for hitting a wider area.
- Massage/pulse capability for a soothing massage-like effect.
Safety and Sanitation:
- The self-cleaning nozzle(s) are on-demand instead of automatic.
- Soft, illuminated night light for restroom navigation.
- Safety sensor.
Bio Bidet A8 Serenity
After the Alpha JX, another child-friendly, high-end bidet on the market is the BB A8 Serenity (alternative price here). Unlike the JX, it is only available for elongated toilets.
I hesitate to call it a luxury bidet though that’s how it is marketed. But it’s a very nice bidet overall.
The reason I hesitate to call it a luxury option is that it has a hybrid water heater. Hybrid heaters are definitely a step up from the tank heaters offered by other bidets in the article, but they’re not top-tier.
Tank heaters provide about a minute of warm water while instantaneous (tankless) heaters provide an endless warm water supply.
Hybrid heaters, as the name implies, are a hybrid of the two different heating technology and the results are somewhere in the middle. You get about 40 seconds of warm water at max temp, at which point the temp drops by a few degrees but never gets cool.
Child-Friendly Features of the A8 Serenity
Kids Wash Feature:
Pressing “Kids” on the remote changes all relevant functions to child-friendly settings:
Specifically:
- Lower, yet adequate water pressure.
- Longer nozzle position.
- Automatic 2-minute cleansing session.
- Automatic drying session of 3 minutes.
Other Useful Features for Kids:
It has an occupied seat sensor keeping the unit from being operated when the seat isn’t occupied.
Like the USPA 6800U, the A8 has both user presets and an auto function.
The presets are useful for kids because you can save the preferred nozzle position, which isn’t always the case.
The auto function activates a cleansing wash for 20 seconds followed by 20 seconds of oscillation, 80 seconds of massage, and 3 minutes of air drying.
Other Features and Specs of the A8
Water Temperature:
- Extra-long warm water supply that’s adjustable across 4 settings: “Off”, low, medium, and high.
- The highest setting is 102° F
Water Pressure:
- Adjustable pressure w/5 settings maxing out at 0.18 gal (or ~0.7 L) per minute.
- There’s no strong/turbo wash setting with this bidet.
Comfort, Convenience, and Aesthetics:
- A warm air dryer as you’d expect with a high-end bidet.
- Convenient, wireless remote. It has a double-sided design like the USPA 6800U remote, so it provides twice the control of most wireless remotes at only half the size.
- Powerful air deodorizer with catalytic filter.
- Aerated wash for max comfort (and water efficiency).
- The A8 has a unibody design for a sleek, modern look. It is similar to the U770 in design, in that it’s relatively bulky (6.8” or ~17.3 cm high in the rear), but otherwise has a streamlined look. It’s minimalistic in appearance with little to no visible labels, colors, decals, etc.
Seat and Lid:
- Heated seat w/4 temperature settings.
- Gentle, slow-close seat/lid.
- Quick-release mechanism on the side of the bidet for easy removal and cleaning.
Cleaning Wand and Spray Capability:
- A single, stainless-steel 2-in-1 nozzle for posterior and frontal hygiene.
- The nozzle is adjustable to 5 positions.
- There’s no turbo mode, hence the missing nozzle hole.
- Oscillating mode for back-and-forth spray pattern.
- As far as I can tell, the massage mode doesn’t pulse, but uses a rhythmic oscillating motion for a massage-like effect.
Safety and Sanitation:
- On-demand self-cleaning nozzle.
- Nightlight for safe bathroom navigation.
- Intelligent body sensor.
The Best Non-Electric Bidets for Kids
The LUXE Neo 120 (Posterior Only)
A good bare-bones option for kids is the LUXE Neo 120 bidet attachment (Amazon link).
If ease of use is the main goal, then then a non-electric bidet will do the trick. Bidets in the LUXE Neo lineup are known as bidet attachments, meaning they fit under your current toilet seat without replacing anything—as opposed to seats that are swapped for the existing toilet seat.
Bidets of this kind lack all of the features of modern electric units, but they still offer tons of benefits over wiping with toilet paper.
And unlike the lesser Neo 110, the 120 has a self-cleaning nozzle.
Benefits and Drawbacks for Kids
Kids are easy to please, so the lack of features and potentially icy water (in the winter) shouldn’t be an issue.
Non-electric bidets are super easy to operate by default, so the learning curve is as short as with fancy one-push child settings.
Non-electric bidets lack all of the child safety features because they don’t need any.
The worst you’ll have to deal with is getting water all over the place. I chose to recommend LUXE attachments because they tend not to spray everywhere like Tushy bidets (another popular non-electric option).
Splashing is still an issue for some, especially if toilet seat bumpers are used.
Basically, when you install the attachment under the rear of your seat, the seat becomes a little uneven. This leads some bidet users to install bumpers (spacers) under the front of the seat to put things level.
In doing so, a gap is created at the front of the seat that can allow water to escape out of the opening, potentially creating a big mess.
Not everyone reports the issue, but it’s something to keep in mind if you plan to use spacers. I used a LUXE attachment for several months, and never felt the need to install bumpers. So they likely won’t be necessary.
One final thing to note is that there is a difference between being easy to operate and easy to use. While attachments are simple—having one or two dials at most—they do require more effort by the user when it comes to body positioning and aiming.
Electric bidets have a nozzle that can be positioned via remote control and an oscillating mode to move the nozzle to cover a wider area.
When using a non-electric bidet, the user has to sit at the right spot and sort of rock back and forth to get the right amount of coverage.
But kids are fast learners, so overall, this sholdn’t be an issue.
The LUXE Neo 185 (Posterior and Female Hygiene)
If any users of the bidet will need a frontal spray feature, I’d go with the LUXE Neo 185 (Amazon link).
The Neo 185 has dual nozzles, which is the main difference. The extra nozzle sprays at an angle to hit the front region.
Otherwise, the 120 and 185 are the same.
They cost about the same, so you can’t go wrong with the 185, whether you need the extra nozzle or not.
Overall, bidet attachments offer a couple of advantages like being cheaper and easier to install. Most drawbacks are related to comfort and since kids are tough, comfort is usually not as much of an issue.
One thing I would avoid is warm water non-electric bidets. This kind sources hot water from under the sink which can cause scalding, especially with inexperienced and younger users.
Conclusion
So, there you have it.
The main things to look for in a child-friendly bidet, are safety and ease of use. This means simple dials (non-electric bidets) or an easy-to-use remote control or side panel (intuitive buttons, icons instead of letters, etc.) with a one-push operation.
In the absence of a child mode, features like user presets (pre-saved user preferences) and one-push auto functions can make a bidet child-friendly.
That should do it for now. Thanks for reading.
