Hey guys, Dave here. The Alpha JX Elite is Alpha Bidet’s new flagship bidet seat and the next version of the JX2, which has been one of the most popular seats in the country for years. It sells for about $499. That puts it $110 above the JX2 ($389) and $40 above the UX Pearl ($459).
My take: the JX Elite is the Alpha seat to get if you have an elongated toilet and want the strongest, highest-volume wash in the lineup. Its booster pump pushes the Rear+ spray to a rated 1 L/min, and it adds electrolyzed water sanitizing on top of everything the JX2 already does.
I’ve used the original JX for years and the UX Pearl for a long time. I have not run my own tests on the JX Elite. Every Elite number below comes from Alpha’s published spec sheet, and anything I carry over from the JX or Pearl is labeled that way.
One buying note: Alpha Bidet is owned and operated by Bidet King. Buying through Bidet King gets you the full 3-year warranty and direct tech support from the company that makes the seat. You can check current prices here (affiliate link).

Where the JX Elite Fits in Alpha’s Lineup
Alpha calls the JX Elite its new flagship. It sits above the JX2 on cleansing power and hygiene tech, and priced against the UX Pearl, it’s the better buy for people who care most about spray strength. All current Alpha bidets use tankless heating, so the real differences are spray, sanitizing, shape options and price.

What Does the JX Elite Add to the JX2?
According to Bidet King, the Elite keeps everything that made the Alpha Bidet JX platform popular and stacks a few upgrades on top. Here’s what’s new on paper:
- Booster pump for a higher-volume spray
- Rear+ wash, a stronger and narrower rear spray
- Electrolyzed water for the water path, nozzle and Bowl Mist
- A 3.74-inch rear height, which Alpha calls the thinnest on the market
- A touch-sensitive horizontal remote with 2 user presets
- An in-bowl nightlight with an ambient light sensor
The JX2 still has the backlit remote, stainless self-cleaning nozzle, regular Bowl Mist, EASY WASH and WASH & DRY. If you want the full background on the platform, my Alpha JX review covers the original seat I’ve lived with for years.
Who Is the UX Pearl For?
The UX Pearl is the slim, design-forward seat in the lineup. It uses Alpha’s Pure Breeze bowl sanitizer and also comes as the UXA Pearl with an automatic lid. I’ve used one for a long time and I like its low profile and quiet operation.
At $40 less than the Elite, the Pearl suits people who want a sleek seat and maybe the auto-lid version. If spray volume is your top priority, the Elite’s booster pump is the reason to spend more. My full Alpha UX Pearl review goes into the Pearl’s details.
Cleansing Performance
The JX Elite’s headline feature is spray volume. Alpha rates the Rear wash at up to 800 mL/min and Rear+ at up to 1 L/min, both driven by a booster pump that most bidet seats at this price don’t advertise.
How Much Water Do Rear Wash and Rear+ Deliver?
According to the spec sheet, Rear wash puts out up to 800 mL/min. That’s about 27 ounces of water every minute. Rear+ goes up to 1 L/min, roughly 34 ounces, and it’s also narrower.
Narrower plus more volume means a more focused stream that hits harder in one spot. Use Rear wash for the everyday comfortable clean and Rear+ when you want a deep, thorough pass.
From my years on the original JX, the regular rear spray was already an aerated, comfortable stream with enough punch for most people. Bidet King describes the Elite’s spray as “firm, yet luxuriously comfortable,” so I’d expect the same aerated feel with more water behind it.
What Does the Booster Pump Change?
A booster pump raises water output during a wash without depending entirely on your home’s line pressure. That’s a big deal in homes where tankless seats can feel a little weak.
If you’ve ever fought with a bidet water pressure too low problem, a pump-assisted seat is one of the more direct fixes. You still get adjustable spray pressure on the remote, so you can turn it down if Rear+ at full blast is too much.
One thing I can’t tell you yet is how loud the pump runs. Alpha describes the Elite as whisper quiet, and the JX I own is quiet, but I haven’t heard the Elite’s pump myself.
Hot Water Performance
The JX Elite uses a tankless heater, so you get endless warm water with adjustable water temperature and, according to Alpha, little to no startup lag. There’s no reservoir to empty out halfway through a wash.
How Does Tankless Heating Affect a Long Wash?
Tank-style seats heat a small reservoir ahead of time. Once that reservoir drains, the water turns cold, sometimes in under a minute. A tankless heater warms the water as it flows, so the temperature holds for as long as you’re washing.
That matters more on the Elite than on most seats. At up to 1 L/min on Rear+, a small tank would empty fast. Tankless heating keeps up with the higher flow.
From my time with the UX Pearl (carried-over observation, not an Elite test), the water stayed warm from start to finish, even on longer washes, and there was no waiting for it to heat up. The Elite uses the same tankless approach, and Alpha rates it for on-demand warm water.
If you’re new to how this works, my explainer on how warm water bidets work covers tank vs. tankless in plain terms. The temperature itself is adjustable from the remote, so you can run it lukewarm in summer and warmer in winter.
Design and Dimensions
The JX Elite is the slimmest seat Alpha makes. It measures 3.74 inches thick at the rear, and Bidet King calls it the thinnest bidet seat on the market. The lid is a one-piece unibody design.

What Does a 3.74-Inch Rear Height Look Like?
Most electric bidet seats have a chunky back housing that sticks up off the bowl. At 3.74 inches, the Elite’s rear is under 4 inches tall, about the height of a coffee mug on its side.
In practice, a low rear housing does two things. It looks more like a regular toilet seat from across the room, and it leaves more room between the seat and a one-piece toilet’s tank. That second point helps with fit, which I’ll get to below.
The look is minimal and white, with clean lines and no bulky side panel. Alpha also lists a halo LED side knob on the seat for quick control without the remote.
Can You Sit on the Lid?
Yes. The unibody lid is rated as sittable up to 300 lbs, according to Bidet King. That’s handy for putting on socks, helping a kid brush their teeth or resting for a second.
My original JX also has a sturdy lid rated to 300 lbs, and I’ve sat on it plenty over the years without problems. Plenty of bidet seats have flimsy lids, so this is one Alpha detail I appreciate. The seat and lid are also soft-closing on the JX platform.
Fit and Installation
The JX Elite only fits elongated toilets. It works on elongated two-piece toilets and most elongated one-piece toilets that don’t have a curved tank. Unlike the JX2, it doesn’t come in a round version.
Which Elongated Toilets Will It Fit?
Two-piece elongated toilets are the safest bet. Most one-piece elongated toilets work too, thanks to the low 3.74-inch rear.
The usual problem is a French curve toilet, where the bowl sweeps up into the tank in one curved line. The Kohler San Raphael is a classic example. Those designs leave no flat mounting area behind the seat bolts.
To check yours, measure from the center of the bolt holes to the front edge of the bowl. Round bowls measure about 16.5 inches and elongated ones about 18.5 inches. My Alpha JX bidet toilet seat guide walks through fitment on the JX platform in more detail. Since the Elite is elongated-only, owners of round and elongated toilets alike need to measure before buying.
What Water Connection and Outlet Do You Need?
You need two things: the water line already feeding your toilet tank, and a 15A GFCI outlet nearby. Alpha says a heavy-duty extension cord is fine if the outlet is a few feet away.
The included metal 7/8-inch T-valve splits your toilet’s supply line, sending water to both the tank and the seat. Alpha’s general steps look like this:
- Remove the old seat, shut off the water and flush the tank empty.
- Install the T-valve and reconnect the supply hose.
- Bolt down the mounting plate.
- Slide the seat onto the plate until it clicks.
- Connect the seat’s hose, open the valve, check for leaks and plug in.
Alpha says most people finish in 15 to 30 minutes with basic tools. That matches my experience with the JX. My guide to installing a bidet has more tips, and if you need an electrician to add an outlet, check what a bidet installation will cost you.
Spray Features
The JX Elite gives you three wash modes plus nozzle oscillation, adjustable nozzle position, and adjustable water temperature and pressure. That’s a full set of controls for a seat in this price range.
When Should You Use Each Wash Mode?
Each mode has a clear job:
- Rear wash (up to 800 mL/min): your everyday setting. Strong but comfortable.
- Rear+ (up to 1 L/min): stronger and narrower. Good for a thorough clean after a messier trip.
- Front feminine wash: a gentler spray aimed further forward for feminine hygiene and daily freshness.
On my JX, I use the regular rear wash most days and bump up pressure when needed. The Elite’s Rear+ gives you that extra step without maxing out the pressure dial. Nozzle oscillation moves the nozzle back and forth for a wider cleaning area, which I find works well with a strong spray.
How Adjustable Is the Spray?
According to the spec sheet, you can adjust:
- Nozzle position (forward and back)
- Spray pressure
- Water temperature
- Oscillation on or off
On the JX I own, pressure and temperature each step through several levels from the remote, and nozzle position moves in small increments. That’s enough to dial in a comfortable spot for most body types.
With a booster pump in the mix, the top pressure setting on the Elite will likely be stronger than the JX2’s. If anyone in your house is sensitive, start low and work up. My guide on bidet water pressure too high has more on that.
Electrolyzed Water and Bowl Mist
The JX Elite’s biggest hygiene upgrade is electrolyzed water. The seat uses it to sanitize itself in three phases, and the Bowl Mist button sprays it around the bowl before you go.
What Does the Three-Phase System Clean?
Electrolyzed water is regular tap water passed through a small electric cell, which creates a mild sanitizing solution. It’s a common approach in Japanese-style bidets because it cleans without added chemicals.
On the JX Elite, Alpha says the electrolyzed water treats three areas automatically:
- The internal water path inside the seat
- The stainless steel nozzle, which also self-cleans before and after each use
- The toilet bowl, through Bowl Mist
The stainless steel nozzle is a nice touch on its own. My original JX used an aluminum nozzle with an anti-microbial coating, and stainless is more durable and easier to keep clean. If hygiene features are your main buying factor, my roundup of the best self cleaning bidets puts this in context.
You’ll still need to wipe the seat and bowl now and then. My complete guide to cleaning a bidet covers the routine.
How Does Bowl Mist Compare with TOTO EWATER+?
Bowl Mist works with a press of a button. The seat sprays a fine mist of electrolyzed water around the bowl to make the surface slick, so waste is less likely to stick. The JX2 has Bowl Mist too, but the Elite’s version uses electrolyzed water.
TOTO’s EWATER+ is the obvious rival. It also uses electrolyzed water to treat the bowl and the wand, and it’s a big part of why TOTO seats have a strong hygiene reputation.
The practical difference for most buyers is price. Getting electrolyzed water from Alpha costs about $499, with a booster pump and endless warm water included. If you’re cross-shopping, my Alpha JX vs TOTO C5 comparison shows how the two brands stack up on the base JX platform.
Controls, Presets and Shortcut Buttons
The JX Elite runs from a touch-sensitive, backlit wireless remote with a horizontal layout and a wall mount. It stores 2 user presets and has Alpha’s two shortcut buttons, EASY WASH and WASH & DRY.

Is the Backlit Remote Easy to Use?
The backlit symbols light up, so you can use the remote at night without flipping on the bathroom light. On my JX, the clearly labeled buttons were easy enough for guests and older family members to figure out on the first try.
The Elite switches to touch-sensitive controls in a horizontal layout. It looks more upscale, though I’ll admit I like physical buttons for feel. The wall mount keeps it off the counter and within reach.
The 2 user presets save your favorite settings for two people. If you share a bathroom with someone who likes a hotter, harder spray, this saves both of you from readjusting every time.
What Do EASY WASH and WASH & DRY Do?
These two buttons are my favorite thing about Alpha remotes, and they carry over to the Elite.
- EASY WASH runs a full-pressure rear wash with nozzle oscillation. One press, no settings to think about.
- WASH & DRY runs a full rear wash, stops, runs a full drying cycle, then stops.
On my JX, WASH & DRY is the button I hit most. It’s also the easiest way to set up a bidet for kids, grandparents or anyone with limited mobility, since they only need to remember one button.
Warm Air Dryer
Alpha rates the JX Elite’s warm air dryer at 5,000 rpm, with adjustable temperature. It’s meant to dry you after a wash so you can skip most or all of the toilet paper.
What Does the 5,000 rpm Rating Tell You?
The rpm figure tells you how fast the fan spins. A faster fan moves more air, which means quicker drying. Bidet King calls the Elite’s dryer strong, and 5,000 rpm is a solid number for a bidet seat.
It doesn’t tell you airflow volume or air temperature, so treat it as a rough guide.
Here’s the honest part. Any seat dryer takes a couple of minutes to get you fully dry. That was true on my JX and on the UX Pearl. Plenty of people, me included, use the dryer for a minute or so and then pat dry with a square or two of toilet paper.
Adjustable temperature helps here. A warmer setting dries faster, and a cooler one is more comfortable in summer.
Heated Seat, Nightlight and Deodorizer
The JX Elite includes a heated seat with adjustable temperature, a white LED nightlight with three modes, and an automatic air deodorizer. A seat sensor ties these together so the seat only runs wash functions when someone is sitting down.
Which Comfort Features Matter Day to Day?
The heated seat is the one I’d miss most. It’s adjustable from the remote, and in a cold bathroom in winter, it’s the feature everybody in the house notices first.
The white LED nightlight sits in the bowl and can be set to always on, always off, or on only when the room is dark, thanks to an ambient light sensor. Bidet King lists the Elite with a white nightlight and a halo LED side knob. For 2 a.m. trips, a soft glow in the bowl beats switching on a bright overhead light.
The automatic deodorizer kicks on when you sit down to help cut odors. It’s a nice extra, and I wouldn’t expect it to replace a bathroom fan.
Ranked by daily use, I’d put the heated seat first, the nightlight second and the deodorizer third.
Energy Use
A tankless electric bidet seat only heats water when you use it, so standby power stays low. The JX Elite also has power saving modes to cut seat-heating energy when nobody’s around.
What Can You Infer Without JX Elite Power Measurements?
Alpha doesn’t publish monthly energy figures for the JX Elite, and I haven’t measured it. So here’s what I can tell you from related seats.
On the UX Pearl, I’ve seen energy use of about 2 kWh per person per month. That’s the UX Pearl’s figure, not the Elite’s. At a typical US rate of around 17 cents per kWh, that works out to roughly 34 cents per person per month.
The Elite shares the same tankless approach, so I’d expect it to land in the same ballpark. A few things could push it higher:
- The booster pump draws power during washes.
- The electrolyzed water cell runs during sanitizing.
- A heated seat left on high all day uses more than one on eco mode.
Turn on a power saving mode and you’ll trim the seat-heating load, which is usually the biggest draw on any electric bidet seat. My list of the best bidet seats with tankless water heaters covers why tankless seats are cheaper to run.
JX Elite vs. JX2 vs. UX Pearl: Which Should You Buy?
The JX Elite is the pick for elongated toilets if you want the strongest spray and electrolyzed water. The JX2 is the value pick, and the UX Pearl is for people who care most about a slim look or want the auto-lid option.

Which Upgrades Justify the Price Difference?
You pay $110 more for the Elite over the JX2. For that money, you get:
- The booster pump and Rear+ wash, the biggest real-world upgrade if you’ve ever wished for a stronger spray
- Electrolyzed water sanitizing for the water path, nozzle and bowl
- A thinner 3.74-inch rear, which helps on tight one-piece toilets
- 2 user presets and a touch remote
If spray strength or hygiene is what you care about, those upgrades earn the money. If you just want warm water, a heated seat and a dryer, the original Alpha JX platform already delivers that.
Who Should Stick with the JX2 or Choose the UX Pearl?
Stick with the JX2 if:
- You have a round toilet, since the Elite is elongated-only
- Your water pressure is already good and you like the standard spray
- You’d rather save $110
Choose the UX Pearl if:
- You want the Pure Breeze sanitizer
- You like the idea of an automatic lid with the UXA Pearl version
- You care most about a sleek, low-profile look at $459
The Pearl is a great seat. I’ve used one for a long time with no complaints.
Who Should Choose the JX Elite?
Pick the Alpha JX Elite if you have an elongated toilet and want the strongest wash Alpha makes, with Rear+ rated at up to 1 L/min, electrolyzed water sanitizing and endless warm water for about $499.
It suits a few kinds of buyers best:
- People in homes with weak water pressure, thanks to the booster pump
- Households that care about hygiene and want a self-sterilizing nozzle and bowl
- Owners of one-piece elongated toilets, where the 3.74-inch rear helps with clearance
- Families sharing one bathroom, who’ll use the 2 user presets
- Anyone who wants simple one-button use through EASY WASH and WASH & DRY
The trade-offs are real. It costs $110 more than the JX2, it doesn’t come in a round size, and it won’t fit French curve toilets like the Kohler San Raphael.
The 3-year warranty covers 100% of parts and labor, and buying through Bidet King keeps that warranty and tech support with the company that owns Alpha Bidet. Before ordering, measure your bowl from the bolt holes to the front edge and confirm you have a 15A GFCI outlet within reach of the toilet.
